Pioneer Transformers in Mississauga is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to independently design transformers and related components, applying IEEE/IEC/CSA standards. You will optimize performance, analyze failures, and collaborate across manufacturing, QA, supply chain, sales, and service to ensure quality and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of transformer design experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks and FEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience focused on transformer design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks and FEA.
• Experience updating ERP data related to engineering processes.
• Knowledge of IEEE/IEC/CSA standards and DOE regulatory basics.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and develop transformers and related components.
• Perform analyses to optimize product performance, cost, and efficiency.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, QA, supply chain, sales, and service.
• Participate in design reviews and maintain engineering documentation.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
