Job summary

Fluor Canada is seeking a Principal Process Engineer – Power Projects to lead process and thermal-cycle engineering for gas-turbine-based power facilities from development through commissioning. The role involves shaping plant configurations, guiding execution, and supporting business development, with travel to client offices and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or global equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience with gas-turbine-based power projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading process engineering through study, FEED, proposal or EPC phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for power-project studies, feasibility work, configuration studies, FEED, proposals, and EPC execution.
• Develop cost-effective plant configurations for simple-cycle, combined-cycle and cogeneration facilities with gas turbine, HRSG and associated systems.
• Lead thermal-cycle modeling and plant performance using Thermoflow or equivalent tools; interpret outputs and communicate trade-offs.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and controls, civil/structural, procurement, construction and commissioning functions.
