Job summary

COFOMO, a leading Canadian consulting firm in Montreal, is seeking a Project Manager for HR initiatives on-site. You will lead end-to-end technology projects, coordinating HR platform implementations, payroll integrations, and middleware, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

The role requires governance expertise, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors across the project lifecycle. Montreal on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing large-scale technology projects.
• Expertise delivering end-to-end projects in complex environments.
• Experience implementing HR platforms, payroll solutions or similar integrated systems.
• Mastery of scope, schedule, budget, resource and change management practices.
• Knowledge of governance, stakeholder management, and executive reporting approaches.
• Experience coordinating vendors, integrations, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of data, security, testing, data conversion, and releases.
• Proficient in RAID and risk management practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to operate with multiple priorities and varied stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through initiation, development, construction, transition, production and hypercare phases.
• Maintain an integrated project plan with deliverables, milestones, resources and environments.
• Coordinate HR platform implementation, payroll integrations and middleware components.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery within approved scope and quality.
• Monitor progress, identify discrepancies and implement turnaround plans when at risk.
• Mobilize internal and external resources for coordinating project components.
• Define objectives, scope, deliverables and acceptance criteria with stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain project schedule, dependencies and milestones.
• Track budget, forecasts, commitments and costs; communicate variances and risks.
• Plan resource needs and coordinate their availability with teams.
• Apply change management for scope, schedule, cost or solution approach.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and governance structures.
• Prepare progress reports on status, budget, risks and decisions.
• Foster collaboration between business, technology and vendors.
• Work with analysts to confirm needs, configurations and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate data conversion, reporting, interfaces, testing and training.
• Support go-live, transition to support and hypercare closure.
• Document decisions, actions, and lessons learned.
