Job summary

COFOMO in Montreal seeks a Senior Project Manager to drive complex projects across governance, technology directions, and budgets. You will coordinate collaborators, manage risks, publish progress reports, and liaise with senior management to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Hold an undergraduate degree (bachelor's degree) in information technology or a field relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
• Hold a PMI PMP and/or PMI-ACP certification.
• Have at least eight (8) years of experience as a complex project manager.
• Have experience in managing Agile or hybrid projects.
• Use the Microsoft 365 suite and Azure DevOps effectively.
• Be able to apply Agile principles and methods, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Jira.
• Manage risks, budgets, resources and timelines for complex projects.
• Be able to analyze the value of products and interpret performance indicators (KPIs).
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and write quality executive reports.
• Be able to leverage Teams, SharePoint, Planner and OneNote collaborative environments.
• Master project management methodologies and tools.
• Interpret and apply legislation and regulations relating to data security in the field of health.
• Carry out strategic mandates at the senior level within large-scale organizations.
• Possess a PMI PMP and/or PMI-ACP certification (important asset).
• Hold a certification in agility (asset).
• Demonstrate senior-level experience in carrying out strategic mandates within a large organization (important asset).
• Master the management of projects carried out using Agile (Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban, DAD or SAFe) or hybrid (Agile and Waterfall) approaches (important asset).

Responsibilities

• Ensure a common understanding of the vision, governance, technology directions, scope and planning of the project among all stakeholders.
• Coordinate the interventions of the various collaborators to ensure the coherence of the work, the assessment of risks and the development of schedules aligned with the objectives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including objectives, deliverables, timelines and budget.
• Facilitate start-up, follow-up and project closing meetings.
• Supervise the progress of the work and adjust the plans as needed.
• Produce progress reports, project reports and documentation required for decision-making.
• Present the overall status of the project, identify issues and risks and inform the relevant authorities of any situation requiring special attention.
• Monitor and evaluate project performance in terms of budget, cost, schedule, content, quality, risks and outstanding issues.
• Ensure compliance with established requirements, priorities and strategic directions.
• Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, and change requests.
• Recommend and follow up on appropriate corrective actions.
• Route final deliverables to the appropriate authorities for approval and ensure the smooth running of interventions.
• Prepare communications for the various interlocutors, including media inquiries and communications to senior management.
• Work closely with partners to solve problems, optimize systems and ensure the proper functioning of an architecture that meets business needs.
• Facilitate exchanges between technical teams, suppliers, the main provider and VPTI by acting as a liaison.
• Participate in committees and working groups to gather issues and validate needs.
• Ensure alignment between the expressed needs and the solutions developed.
• Optimize technology deployment processes in partnership with the main provider and the various partners.
• Maintain a relationship of trust with service providers by ensuring regular and proactive communication.
• Rigorously track change requests and technology issues.
