Job summary

TD Securities is seeking an experienced Hands-on Sr. Platform Engineer to lead development of the next-gen Trading Risk Warehouse platform. You will design a scalable, resilient PnL reporting system used by risk analysts, traders, and executives.

You will guide a platform engineering team, pinpoint bottlenecks, automate maintenance tasks, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables while leveraging cutting-edge tech in a global setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in managing and supporting large scale platform.
• Experience in large scale platform migration initiatives.
• Strong experience with Hadoop/HDFS/Spark/Hive.
• 8+ years Linux system administration.
• Experience with web/service/API platforms and messaging like Kafka.
• Experience with RDBMS/SQL and Cassandra (NoSQL).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a high performing platform with reliability, security and scalability.
• Manage underlying infrastructure, including hardware, software and storage resources.
• Manage multiple environments (Prod/Pre-Prod) and ensure stability.
• Streamline code promotion and improve developer productivity.
• Promote CI/CD best practices and automation across teams.
• Drive platform optimization and address bottlenecks.
