Qualifications

• 15+ years in investment/markets banking technology
• Hands-on architecture background with Java/J2EE and cloud platforms
• Experience delivering regulatory or compliance-driven platforms (FRTB, SA-CVA, MiFID, EMIR)
• Strong stakeholder management across Operations, Technology, and senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead Client Onboarding, Reference Data, and MDM modernization efforts
• Own regional delivery for Cross-Asset IT platforms covering Risk, Valuation, Pricing, and Market Data
• Lead multiple Agile teams (10+) globally, managing budget, forecasting, and resourcing
• Drive cloud migration and infrastructure automation (IaC, containerization, hybrid cloud) to reduce cost and increase scalability
• Architect and deliver strategic regulatory platforms on time and on budget
• Drive DevOps automation (CI/CD, single-click deployment/release) across the platform estate
• Build, retain, and mentor high-performing engineering teams; own hiring, performance management, and location strategy
• Manage vendor relationships and in-house capability build-out for cost efficiency and risk mitigation
• Partner with Heads of Operations, CTO, and business stakeholders to shape technology roadmap and priorities

Job description

We're seeking a senior technology leader to own delivery for mission-critical Markets and Cross-Asset platforms spanning Risk, Valuation, Pricing, and regulatory reporting (FRTB, SA-CVA). What You'll Do

• Lead Client Onboarding, Reference Data, and Master Data Management (MDM) modernization efforts
• Own regional delivery for Cross-Asset IT platforms covering Risk, Valuation, Pricing, and Market Data
• Lead multiple Agile teams (10+) globally, managing budget, forecasting, and resourcing
• Drive cloud migration and infrastructure automation (IaC, containerization, hybrid cloud) to reduce cost and increase scalability
• Architect and deliver strategic regulatory platforms (e.g., FRTB, SA-CVA, MiFID/EMIR-driven initiatives) on time and on budget

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years in investment/markets banking technology, with deep exposure to Fixed Income, Credit Derivatives, Risk, Pricing, and Valuation
• Experience with Client Onboarding, Reference Data, or MDM platforms
• Strong hands-on architecture background: Java/J2EE, cloud platforms (GCP or equivalent), NoSQL (MongoDB or similar), DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, Ansible)
• Track record delivering regulatory or compliance-driven platforms (FRTB, SA-CVA, MiFID, EMIR, Volcker, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management skills across Operations, Technology, and senior business leadership
• Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and retain high-performing global engineering teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with electronic trade confirmation/allocation platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters, Omgeo, Oasys)
• Exposure to Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Cloudera)
• Working knowledge of AI/ML-enabled capabilities applied to trading, risk, or operations technology
• Background spanning both consulting/professional services and direct bank employment
