Zusammenfassung

The Canadian Red Cross is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to oversee biweekly payroll processing for multiple entities in Canada. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll deliveries while supporting HR and Finance teams across the country.

Responsibilities include retiree payroll, escalations, audits, and reconciliations, with emphasis on compliance with regulations and collective agreements.

Qualifikationen

• 4–5 years of progressive payroll administration experience
• 1–2 year post-secondary diploma or certification in Accounting, Payroll, Bookkeeping, or related field
• PCP certification completed or currently enrolled with commitment to completion
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, practices, and legislation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and payroll systems (preferably ADP Workforce Now)
• Experience with Kronos (MyTime) is an asset
• Attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll discrepancies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; diplomacy and empathy
• French and English language skills are an asset

Aufgaben

• Support the payroll team in processing a biweekly payroll for multiple entities.
• Process retiree payroll and provide vacation relief to payroll administrators.
• Troubleshoot payroll processing software (ADP).
• Respond to inquiries and escalations (JIRA).
• Coordinate payroll processing with HR and external service providers.
• Adhere to policies and union agreements in payroll processing.
• Provide training and guidance to payroll staff.
• Assist with monthly GL reconciliations (taxes, CPP, EI, WSIB, EHT).
• Reconcile Kronos hours to WFN import hours and approve before pay run.
• Assist with T4s/RL1s, T4As & T2200s and WCB recoveries.
• Prepare final payroll wire payments and tax filings.
• Run interfaces and maintain employee data in payroll software.
• Support audits with payroll documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance
