AgeCare Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Director of Care for its Long-Term Care residence in Toronto. You will lead resident care activities, ensure policy compliance, and partner with the senior management team to maintain high-quality, person-centered care.

The role requires geriatric nursing expertise, regulatory knowledge, and ongoing staff education; registration with the Ontario College of Nurses is essential. Salary ranges from CAD 94,000 to CAD 103,000 per year.

Qualifications

Geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing background.
Knowledge of acts/regulations including Nursing Homes Act, Health Disciplines Act and related statutes.
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Post-graduate studies in nursing, nursing administration or geriatrics considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate resident care activities within approved policies and procedures.
Collaborate with senior management on onboarding, staff education, health and safety and infection control.
Ensure documentation aligns with policy and regulatory requirements; review care plans and assessments.
Audit resident care plans quarterly to reflect care needs accurately.
Respond to resident or family concerns and escalate as needed.
