Sargent & Lundy, a leading engineering firm, seeks a piping analysis engineer to perform advanced analysis for nuclear projects. You will interface with systems, structural, and piping design groups to ensure code-compliant solutions and effective pipe supports across projects.

The role requires 7+ years of piping analysis experience, strong communication, and familiarity with CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, and ANSYS Workbench. Hybrid schedule includes three in-office days per week in Canada.

Competenze

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, theory of elasticity, metallurgy, and finite element analysis.
• 7+ years creating computer piping analysis models and interpreting results for code compliance.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and BPV Section III piping codes; familiarity with older addenda preferred.
• Knowledge of design, selection, and application of pipe supporting elements.
• Experience with commercially available piping products and their application.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Mansioni

• Lead piping analysis on new and existing nuclear projects, interfacing with systems, structural, and piping design teams.
• Reconcile pipe stress reports for as-built conditions.
• Prepare analytical reports on piping reactions to equipment and structures.
• Interpret and apply code requirements to designs.
• Review proposed piping support systems and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers, clients, and contractors.
