Job summary

CPUs Engineering Staffing Solutions Inc. North York, Ontario seeks a Senior Structural Engineer for pipe support design and seismic analysis at a nuclear facility. On-site or hybrid; travel may be required.

You will apply ASME BPVC III NF, CISC standards, and GT STRUDL to analyze pipe supports, review drawings, and prepare calculation packages for QA records and client review. Strong communication and documentation skills required, PE licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• P.Eng. licensure in Ontario or eligibility for licensure.
• Demonstrated hands-on seismic/structural analysis experience in nuclear or regulated environments.
• Proficiency with GT STRUDL analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform seismic analysis of pipe supports and steel framing per ASME BPVC III NF.
• Conduct structural analysis and support qualification using GT STRUDL.
• Apply CISC structural steel properties in analysis and verification.
• Evaluate vendor-supplied components and document demand/capacity comparisons.
• Interpret drawings and apply client loads and live loads to analysis.
• Incorporate design temperatures and thermal effects on materials.
• Develop seismic loading using ISRS and DBE data.
• Prepare calculation packages and engineering reports for QA and client review.
• Coordinate with project team on queries and assumptions.
