Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Toronto area team. You will work on designs for nuclear facilities, performing structural analysis of steel and concrete, and reviewing calculations and drawings.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from a Canadian ABET-equivalent or US ABET-accredited program.
• Three or more years of experience on a project team in design and analysis of structures (steel and concrete).
• Experience with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural components for projects including nuclear facilities and industrial structures.
• Prepare and review design calculations, develop specifications, and support drawing development.
• Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines and interface with project teams.
• Possibility of travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for reviews and field verification.
