Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead design and analysis for nuclear facilities and upgrades. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, guide junior engineers, and ensure high-quality deliverables across a range of projects.

The role involves working on structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundations, with travel to client sites and a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote work.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from a Canadian ABET-equivalent program
• Seven or more years of experience on structural design and analysis projects
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS
• Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with structural engineers and other disciplines on nuclear projects
• Prepare and review design calculations and develop specifications
• Guide less experienced team members and support drawing development
• Travel to client and vendor sites for reviews and field verification
