Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to lead earthworks for the Darlington New Nuclear Project in Clarington, Ontario.

You will supervise construction activities, coordinate schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and cost control across multiple scopes of work with the alliance partner teams. Minimum 7 years of civil/structural construction experience is required, along with strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment and QA programs in nuclear environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years Civil/Structural construction and subcontractor supervision experience.
• Knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements, and safety requirements.
• Ability to plan and manage installation sequences, coordinate with engineering, and communicate updates to teams.

Responsibilities

• Excavation of utility trenches, foundations, and associated earthworks with water management.
• Construction of embankments, MSE walls, and reinforced backfill.
• Subgrade preparations including grading, leveling, and compaction.
• Granular base installations and proper material placement.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly planning and reporting of works.
• Monitor risk, schedule look-ahead, and ensure QA/QC in line with project requirements.
• Ensure alignment with alliance partners and client representatives, and manage productivity of trades.
