Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Welding Program Manager for the Darlington Nuclear Project site in Clarington, ON. You will lead and coordinate all welding activities, ensuring adherence to Aecon’s safety standards and project specifications.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in nuclear/fabrication, 5+ years in welding program management, and strong ASME/CSA knowledge. This role involves domestic and international travel and reports to the Sr. Weld Program Manager and Construction Director.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of manufacturing, fabrication or construction in nuclear or heavy industry.
  • Experience leading welding programs and coordinating multiple projects.
  • Proficient with ASME Codes and welding procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage site welding scopes for the DNNP project.
  • Plan and schedule welding team activities and pre-process qualifications.
  • Certify WPS/PQRs and manage welding records and heat-treatment instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with Aecon Red Book safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, trades, and construction teams to optimize welding solutions.
