Job summary

Aecon Concessions is seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent for the Darlington New Nuclear Project in Clarington, Ontario. The role reports to the Construction Manager and will supervise civil/structural work, coordinating multiple trades while ensuring safety, quality, and cost control across the alliance partnership.

The position requires at least 7 years of nuclear construction supervision experience and a strong ability to read drawings and manage complex schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years Civil/Structural construction & subcontractor supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction tech, equipment, methods, safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specs.
• Experience managing complex nuclear construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute construction work including methods, manpower, materials, tools and schedules.
• Coordinate with alliance partners and clients; monitor master schedules and lookaheads.
• Enforce safety, quality, and human performance programs on site.
• Review and approve timesheets, expenses, and training requests within authority.
• Manage productivity of direct-hire and subcontractors; ensure contractual performance.
