Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Civil/Structural Superintendent for the Darlington New Nuclear Project alliance in Clarington, Ontario. Beginning in 2025, this role supports the construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor and the civil/structural powerblock scope.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will plan, coordinate, supervise, and schedule multi-scope activities, ensuring safety, quality, and contractual performance within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Civil/Structural construction and subcontractor supervision.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise complex construction activities.
• Experience in nuclear projects and safety culture.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and WPs.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC and project scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute on the project including methods, manpower, materials, and schedules.
• Coordinate with alliance partners and monitor plans and risks.
• Create detailed look-ahead schedules from the master schedule.
• Enforce safety, quality, and human performance programs.
• Ensure adherence to Aecon policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
• Manage risks and develop recovery plans for schedule or budget issues.
• Oversee productivity of direct-hire and subcontractors, and optimize resources.
• Support trade agreements and project documentation such as Construction Work Packages.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and budget.
