Job summary

5Blue Process Equipment Inc. seeks an experienced NDE Examiner (Level 2) to lead non-destructive examinations for pressure vessels, piping, and processing equipment.

You will sign off on examinations in shop and at client sites, ensuring compliance with ASME, ABSA, and project specs while mentoring junior staff. The role requires strong knowledge of NDE methods, code requirements, and documentation control, with duties spanning program oversight, third‑party interface, and corrective action when

Qualifications

• NDE Level 2 certification in PT and MT through CGSB.
• Experience in a pressure vessel fabrication, piping, or industrial manufacturing environment.
• Deep working knowledge of ASME Section V, VIII Div. 1, B31.3, Section I, CSA W59, and ABSA quality program requirements.
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with ABSA authorized inspectors and CWB.

Responsibilities

• Perform and sign off on NDE examinations (PT, MT) per applicable codes and project specs.
• Develop and maintain the NDE scope for assigned projects, including method selection and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with ABSA and third-party inspectors; maintain documentation and witness points.
• Identify and manage non-conformances; initiate NCRs and disposition with relevant teams.
• Mentor Level 1 Examiners and Inspectors and countersign reports as required.
