Job summary

Yourchamber is seeking a QC Inspector (Level 2) to lead visual weld inspections on pressure vessels, piping, and processing equipment in Edmonton, AB. You will sign off on inspections per ASME VIII Div. 1, B31.3, AWS D1.1, and ABSA requirements.

The role includes mentoring Level 1 inspectors, coordinating with ABSA and third-party inspectors, and maintaining NDE scope and documentation to support field and shop activities. Strong communication and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• CWB Level 2 Visual Weld Inspector certification required.
• NDE Level 2 certification in two methods (PT/MT/UT/RT).
• 5–8 years QC inspection experience in fabrication environments.
• Deep knowledge of ASME VIII Div. 1, B31.3, IX and ABSA requirements.
• Experience interfacing with ABSA inspectors and hold points.
• Valid H2S Alive, First Aid and WHMIS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform and sign off on visual weld inspections per ASME and project specs.
• Lead inspections for pressure vessels, piping, and processing equipment.
• Review WPS, verify parameters, and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate ABSA and third-party inspections and hold points.
• Mentor Level 1 inspectors and support field and shop teams.
• Maintain NDE scope, procedures, and documentation.
