Job summary

Versys Verified Systems is seeking an experienced Relay/Protection & Control Specialist to join our elite team of medium voltage technicians. The role involves testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protective relays and MV/HV equipment across projects in the United States.

The ideal candidate will have extensive protection and control experience, with strong electrical diagnostic and schematics skills, and be able to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial or utility-grade protection and control systems.
• Proficient with advanced relay testing equipment.
• Knowledge of power system protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Test, calibrate, and maintain protective relays (SEL, Siemens, ABB, GE).
• Support commissioning of MV/HV switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and generator protection schemes.
• Troubleshoot faults using event logs, oscillography, and fault files.
• Read and redline electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Follow NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout and other safety protocols.
