Job summary

Rising Edge Group seeks a Senior Commissioning Technologist to lead field testing, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage power equipment across North America. You will mentor junior technologists, interpret prints, conduct risk assessments, and promote best practices on site.

You will operate specialized test equipment and manage onsite commissioning of breakers, transformers, relays, and SCADA systems, ensuring safety and reliability in 600V–500kV environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in field testing and commissioning of high-voltage equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics.
• Proven commitment to safety and environmental practices.
• Strong mentoring skills for junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain safety culture on site with construction crew.
• Commission and test high voltage equipment (circuit breakers, transformers, switches).
• Commission protection and control relays (SEL, GE, Siemens, ABB).
• Test and diagnose protection and control circuits; interpret results and act on findings.
• Lead commissioning activities and mentor junior technicians.
