Job summary

Kinectrics seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Toronto, ON to lead design, fabrication, testing and commissioning of nuclear equipment and skid-based systems. You will drive technical decisions and collaborate with suppliers and clients to ensure safe, reliable solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in mechanical engineering, a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, and P.Eng eligibility. Travel may be required; security clearance process applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in design, fabrication, testing or commissioning.
• Experience with nuclear equipment or related process systems is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior mechanical leadership for design, fabrication, procurement, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of nuclear equipment.
• Act as technical lead for assigned mechanical scopes, including design verification and supplier oversight.
• Prepare and review design packages: drawings, P&IDs, calculations, specs, BOMs and tests.
• Perform equipment sizing and selection for pumps, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers and piping.
• Guide CAD models and drawings with SolidWorks or equivalent.
• Lead testing, commissioning support and issue resolution per quality program.
