Fluor Canada is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering teams in the Material Handling group for mining and metals projects. You will design conveyors, reclaim systems, and bulk material handling facilities, reviewing vendor equipment documentation and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

With 16+ years in bulk material handling and a professional engineering credential, you will mentor staff, develop study reports, and guide project budgets.

Formación

• Four-year engineering degree and 16+ years of work experience in bulk material handling.
• Professional engineer certification/registration where required.
• Experience reading drawings, PFDs and P&IDs.
• Strong English communication with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechanical engineers and CAD designers to create facilities supporting mining projects.
• Design conveyors, calculate drives and take-up details.
• Develop material handling equipment specifications and design criteria.
• Review vendor lists, purchase orders and substitutions for technical acceptability.
• Mentor staff and manage budget and schedule across project phases.
