Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering and 16+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in mining and metals projects.
• At least 5 years as Lead Engineer on mining/metals projects.
• Strong skills in discipline-specific project execution and coordination.
• Excellent communication with management, coworkers, clients, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering activities on complex projects with technical accuracy.
• Oversee material quantities, design criteria, and health, safety, and environmental considerations.
• Manage vendor interactions, procurement, and technical evaluations.
• Mentor engineering teams and support professional development.
• Engage in client relations, cross-discipline coordination, and OSR compliance.
• Provide equipment sizing, data sheets, and support equipment layout reviews.
