The Role
Supports Model Risk Governance in Canada, ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives comply with regulations, policies, and procedures. The Senior Manager will provide strategic, analytical, and project management support for the SAS MRM tool, collaborating with the GRM project team to ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing strategic projects, validating functionality, increasing efficiency, and managing change post-implementation. The role may also involve acting as a product owner, working with end users and stakeholders to optimize system performance.

- Articulates the product’s vision, objectives, and risks.
- Develops and owns the change management and vendor governance models for SAS MRM.
- Plans and executes periodic reviews to optimize the model risk governance tool.
- Establishes governance frameworks, including service level agreements and procedures for tool management.
- Creates user training materials and leads the socialization of the new tool across stakeholders.
- Performs health checks and contributes to solution discussions, considering impacts on other initiatives.
- Ensures activities align with the Bank’s risk appetite and culture.
- Fosters an environment of operational excellence, compliance, and risk management, adhering to values and conduct standards.
- Builds a high-performance team through inclusive leadership, coaching, and development planning.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Excellent MS Office skills; knowledge of SharePoint, process automation, and documentation is a plus.
- 6-8 years of experience in project management, product development, change management, or vendor management, preferably in banking or finance.
- Experience with SAS projects is an asset; SAS programming knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in system support, change requests, governance, and controls.
- Agile environment experience is beneficial.
- Proficiency in English, with strong cross-cultural relationship skills.
- Flexible, collaborative, and capable of critical thinking and creative problem solving.
