Department Summary

The HR Risk and Operational Excellence team focuses on enhancing HR service delivery and operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives and risk management practices. The team manages frameworks for Continuous Improvement, Risk Management, and HR Data Governance to support HR leadership in making informed decisions.

Position Summary

We seek a resilient, forward-thinking, transformational Senior Manager, HR Risk & Operational Excellence to shape HR operational strategy, improve service delivery, and increase operational efficiency. Responsibilities include executing process improvement projects, developing HR policies, ensuring data integrity, and monitoring HR risks and indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and harmonization across HR.
  • Build CI frameworks within HR using Lean/Six Sigma strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR Centre of Expertise to establish and improve processes, leading change management.
  • Identify digitization and automation opportunities and participate in pilot programs.
  • Support reporting to monitor efficiency and productivity improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Policies and Procedures documentation, ensuring best practices.
  • Maintain HR Data Governance framework in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and monitor HR Risk frameworks, track HR KRIs, and prepare reports for HR Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in process improvement, risk management, or similar fields; HR process experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean tools; certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
  • Results-driven, capable of managing multiple priorities, and sharing knowledge effectively.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for Quebec due to frequent interactions.
