Head of Growth Marketing Operations (HR Management Systems scale-up)

The Head of Growth Marketing Operations will lead our client’s fast-paced tech startup, specializing in SaaS solutions for HCM, payroll, and payment technologies.

This role requires a hands-on approach, as we embrace a culture where everyone wears multiple hats. You will define and execute our CRO and SEO strategies, setting clear goals and KPIs that align with our ambitious objectives.

In this position, you will collaborate with the Go-to-Market, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Analytics teams to create an innovative landing page experimentation roadmap and implement data-driven A/B testing. A strong analytical mindset is essential, as you’ll leverage web traffic and engagement data to identify optimization opportunities and assess the impact of marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the vision for Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) programs, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to align goals and performance KPIs with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with teams in Go-to-Market, Product Marketing, Engineering, and Analytics to co-create a comprehensive landing page experimentation roadmap.
  • Analyze web traffic, site engagement data, and in-product metrics to prioritize optimization opportunities and report on the business impact of your efforts.
  • Build and manage quarterly experimentation roadmaps in partnership with channel owners to achieve growth targets.
  • Execute A/B tests and continuously measure the performance of calls-to-action (CTAs) across various platforms.
  • Optimize landing pages, website calls-to-action, and lead-generating forms to enhance user conversion rates.
  • Partner closely with paid search and content teams to drive cross-channel marketing impact at scale.
  • Understand and map the user journey to identify opportunities for conversion improvement.
Requirements
  • Past experience working within HCM / HRIS / Payroll companies.
  • Experience in a pre-revenue / start-up / scale-up environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in conversion rate optimization or growth product management, particularly in a fast-paced startup or product-led growth environment.
  • Proven expertise in hypotheses-driven A/B testing, experiment design, and basic statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with web analytics and A/B testing platforms (e.g., Heap, Segment, Optimizely, Google Optimize).
  • Knowledge of SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush) and SEO best practices.
  • Strong understanding of statistical significance, p-values, and standard error types.
  • Excellent communication, roadmap management, and presentation skills, with experience briefing senior leaders on outcomes and strategic recommendations.
  • A proven track record of successfully growing rankings, website traffic, and user engagement.
