Department Summary:

The HR Risk and Operational Excellence team is dedicated to enhancing the service delivery and operational efficiency of the HR function through continuous improvement initiatives and robust risk management practices. The team is responsible for the Continuous Improvement, Risk Management and HR Data Governance frameworks to support HR Leadership making informed decision.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a resilient, forward-thinking, transformational and dynamic Senior Manager, HR Risk & Operational Excellence to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering HR operational strategy, improve service delivery and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include planning and executing process improvement projects, developing HR policies and procedures, ensuring HR data integrity and analyzing HR risks and monitoring risk indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage implementation of opportunities for process enhancements and harmonization across the HR function.
  • Build CI framework and knowledge within HR team using Lean/Six Sigma strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR Centre of Expertise to establish and improve harmonized processes using lean techniques and lead change management during implementations.
  • Identify opportunities for digitization and automation and participate in pilot programs.
  • Support reporting aligned with CI programs to monitor efficiency and productivity improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and champion in Policies and Procedures documentation, ensuring best practices across HR.
  • Help develop and maintain the HR Data Governance framework, ensuring alignment with IGM’s framework and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the HR Risk framework, identify and track HR Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and prepare and support the delivery of reports to HR Leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of Five (5) years relevant experience with process improvement and/or risk management, or a similar field. Experience with HR processes is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with Six Sigma/Lean tools certification preferred.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Exceptional customer service and customer experience focus with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Process and results-oriented, able to juggle multiple priorities and share knowledge effectively.

As this position is posted in Montréal, Toronto and Winnipeg, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English.
