The Global Performance Measurement Team manages and maintains performance measurement solutions, including Planning and Forecast applications and Financial Information Systems across various business lines and enterprise finance functions.

The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems to support financial information management for IT&S Finance, enterprise finance, and the broader IT organization. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, ensuring data integrity, and enabling analytics for strategic decisions. The role involves collaborating with data scientists, analysts, finance professionals, and FIS team members to deliver cost-effective, timely data solutions, including system enhancements, reporting, and performance measurement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading Data Pipeline Development: Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure data pipelines for large financial data volumes from diverse sources.
2. ETL Development: Building and automating ETL processes using tools like Data Stage to integrate financial data into data warehouses or lakes.
3. Systems Enhancements & Support: Providing development, testing, implementation, and support for IT&S Finance and Financial Information Systems to ensure high reliability and performance.
4. Data Quality & Governance: Implementing checks and validation rules to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulations.
5. Project Management: Supporting system initiatives by gathering requirements, designing solutions, managing project plans, and facilitating change management.
6. Technology Solutions Evaluation: Collaborating to assess and evaluate technology solutions to improve IT&S Finance objectives.
7. Continuous Improvement: Redesigning processes and systems to enhance data pipelines and reporting.
8. Collaboration: Working with peers, clients, vendors, and stakeholders on projects and system enhancements.

Qualifications for success:

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong SQL skills with 8-10 years of experience in relational and OLAP databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Oracle BI (OBIEE) for over 5 years.
• Experience with MS SQL Server components (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
• Knowledge of financial management tools (Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle BI) and IT financial management tools (e.g., Apptio, vRealize) is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills and client-focused service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Teamwork and negotiation skills across organizational lines.
