Join to apply for the Manager, Data Quality and Operations role at RBC.

What is the opportunity?
As a Manager-Data Quality and Operations, you’ll work in the Financial Resource Optimization (FRO) Data, Systems and Business Solutions team supporting the development and maintenance of the bank’s next-generation data architecture for Regulatory and Economic Capital Measurement. The role requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong focus on compliance. You will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency used in capital measurement, establishing data governance frameworks, implementing data quality controls, and utilizing data analysis and visualization tools to monitor data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Quality Management: Develop and implement data quality rules, identify and resolve data issues, collaborate with IT and business teams, conduct assessments, monitor data pipelines, and produce quality reports.
2. Data Governance: Support policy development, maintain data documentation, participate in governance meetings, and ensure regulatory compliance.
3. Data Analysis and Investigation: Use SQL, Python, Spark, and Shell Scripts to analyze large datasets, perform root cause analysis, and investigate data anomalies.
4. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation, support audits, stay updated on regulatory changes, and ensure compliance.
5. Data Visualization and Reporting: Create dashboards using Tableau, develop reports, and present findings to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
• 2+ years in data analysis, preferably in risk management.
• Advanced SQL skills; experience with Tableau and Excel (Pivot Tables, VBA, Macros).
• Knowledge of data governance principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have

• Automation skills (Python or other scripting languages).
• Knowledge of distributed computing, cloud data warehousing (Spark, DataBricks, Snowflake).
• Understanding of bank capital concepts (RWA, capital ratios).
• Experience with data quality tools and ETL processes.
• Relevant certifications.
