Job summary

BDO in Toronto is seeking a Manager, Business Resilience to lead end-to-end engagements across risk assessment, business continuity, IT disaster recovery, and crisis management. You will mentor consultants, manage client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the national practice, leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve research and delivery.

You should have a university degree in a related field, 5+ years in business resilience, and 3+ years managing engagements.

Qualifications

• University degree in risk, emergency management, business, or related field.
• 5+ years as a practitioner in business continuity, emergency management, crisis management, or business resilience.
• 3+ years managing engagements and teams.
• Experience across Financial Services, Public Sector, Energy and Natural Resources, Manufacturing and Distribution, Not-for-Profit, Real Estate.
• Experience in building advisory practice, proposals and client pursuits is an asset.
• Knowledge of ISO 22301, CSA Z1600, ISO 22317, DRII, BCI.
• Strong project management skills with budgets and multiple workstreams.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to engage at all levels.
• Military/police/fire or other critical-service background is an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
• Security clearance for Canada is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex business resilience engagements end to end.
• Facilitate workshops, tabletop exercises, and simulations with client stakeholders.
• Develop and apply methodologies and templates aligned with relevant standards.
• Actively use AI and digital tools to accelerate research and deliverables.
• Manage client relationships and service plans with the practice lead.
• Mentor consultants and promote a collaborative team culture.
• Contribute to business development and practice growth.
