Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Manager, Business Analysis / Technology Consulting in the GTA with a flexible hybrid work arrangement. You will lead client engagements, translate business requirements, support solution delivery, and oversee QA across complex projects, guiding teams through the full software development lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience, strong client-facing skills, and a track record in both agile and waterfall environments, with certifications considered assets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, technology consulting or related role.
• Experience leading business analysis on complex technology projects.
• Strong lifecycle knowledge: requirements to post‑go‑live support.
• Experience in both agile and waterfall environments.
• Proficient in creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories and process flows.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience supporting QA, UAT, defect management and test planning.
• Certs such as PMP, ECBA/CBAP, TOGAF, Agile/Scrum are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis across technology engagements including planning, elicitation, documentation, validation and sign‑off.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to define current and future state processes and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows and solution docs.
• Liaise between business, technical teams, QA and leadership to ensure delivery alignment.
• Support agile and waterfall delivery with backlog planning and sprint planning.
• Lead QA activities including test strategy, test planning, test cases, defects and UAT.
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies and readiness considerations.
• Coach and mentor analysts and project teams.
• Support proposals, estimates, RFP responses and solution scoping.
• Develop user guides and training materials; deliver training to clients.
• Build client relationships and contribute to multi‑engagement delivery.
• Participate in talent attraction, hiring and internal practice development.
