Job summary

BDO Canada LLP seeks a Manager, Risk Advisory Services to join the Toronto team. You will lead engagement teams, assess internal controls, and guide risk management initiatives for a diverse client base. The role emphasizes collaboration, quality deliverables, and advancing governance processes.

You will mentor staff, influence business development, and contribute to methodologies while managing timelines and budgets. A CPA/CISA or active pursuit plus 5+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is required.
• Professional designation (CPA, CIA, CISA) is preferred or actively pursued.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in risk advisory or related field.
• Strong understanding of internal control environments and enterprise risk management.
• Ability to diagnose issues, craft solutions, and draft impactful client communications.
• Strong time management, leadership, and written/ verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement teams to plan and provide risk advisory services to clients.
• Oversee evaluation of compliance and internal controls across diverse environments.
• Build relationships with clients and identify improvements for engagements.
• Support business development, including proposals and presentations.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables and contribute to methodology development.
• Manage timelines, scope, and budgets; assist with resourcing and capacity planning.
