What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Business Operations will provide leadership for RBC Global Asset Management’s (GAM) vendor supplier relationships, including vendor risk management and support for GAM’s Operations Transformation initiatives. This role involves providing administrative, analytical, and advisory support to senior management and key teams. The Senior Manager will develop performance metrics, benchmarking assessments, and business analyses to identify opportunities and challenges for management review.

What will you do?

  1. Manage and support GAM’s supplier and third-party landscape.
  2. Serve as the key contact for new vendor contracts and renewal negotiations.
  3. Align GAM with RBC enterprise vendor risk management policies and procedures.
  4. Act as the Single Point of Contact for all vendor-related requests.
  5. Manage contracts and monitor vendors and licensing usage, identifying savings opportunities.
  6. Support projects related to cost management, revenue enhancement, and optimization initiatives, including ad-hoc research and due diligence.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 3-5 years of experience in a vendor/procurement role or equivalent, preferably with asset management knowledge.
  • Post-secondary or undergraduate business degree.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels and maintain strategic relationships.

Nice to Have

  • Negotiation and customer service experience.
  • Financial management experience.
  • Ability to organize and track multiple data sets.
