The Chief Business Officer organization plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and expansion efforts globally. Our teammates work on commercializing Airbnb’s new and existing businesses, helping expand beyond core offerings as a place to stay. This includes recruiting and developing Airbnb’s global supply of high-quality stays, Experiences, and Services, and executing Airbnb’s global strategy in market. The Geos Team, within CBO, ensures Airbnb remains locally relevant, serving the needs of our global hosts and guests, and helps regions plan and execute growth strategies across supply, demand, and other surfaces to resonate with our communities.

As we expand, we seek the best talent to drive strategic decisions. The team is looking for a Business Operations Lead for our Canada Business Operations team.

The Difference You Will Make

You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to scale community growth and optimization programs. The successful candidate will report to the Country Manager, Canada.

A Typical Day

• Align all functions to achieve objectives set by the Country Manager.
• Lead regular business operation meetings and facilitate discussions with project teams across functions such as operations, marketing, product, and legal to ensure initiatives are on track in Canada.
• Analyze macro and micro trends, presenting insights and actionable plans to leadership to inform business decisions.
• Support the Country Manager and senior leaders on strategic projects, leading and implementing operational initiatives for Canada, coordinating with local, regional, and San Francisco teams.
• Own the conception, execution, and measurement of cross-functional initiatives, defining problems, solutions, dependencies, and working with stakeholders to achieve goals across demand, supply, and regulatory surfaces.

Your Expertise

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience, ideally with data modeling, analytics, and project management in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting clearly at all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to influence and rally diverse stakeholders using qualitative and quantitative insights.
• Ability to analyze details and contextualize initiatives within broader company strategy.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and documentation abilities.
• Experience scaling initiatives across global teams and working cross-functionally.
• Hands-on, results-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in manipulating large datasets in Excel; SQL skills are strongly preferred.

Your Location

This position is based in Canada, remote eligible. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or offsite attendance may be required, as agreed with your manager. You must reside where Airbnb has a registered entity. Please check the current list of eligible states.
