Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated team player & resilient lead to join International Wealth Management as Senior Manager, Business Development Strategic Partnerships. In this role, you will be accountable to drive client primacy by executing on comprehensive partnership strategies and delivering on their measurable goals/targets, plans & initiatives support of the team’s overall objective and success. You will be responsible for managing and cultivating strategic partnerships to drive business growth and enhance market presence aligning with IWM global strategic partnership strategies & objectives.

The Senior Manager, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships contributes to the long-term profitability of the International Wealth Management (IWM) business line by supporting with establishing strategic partnerships that bring the whole Bank to Wealth clients and aligned with IWM’s strategic goals. This is a demanding hands-on and strategic role which requires the candidate to be knowledgeable of the financial services sector, has client facing experience, and has in-depth experience collaborating with international teams. You should have the ability to execute on the IWM partnership strategy, actively arrange business cases and roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams.


What you will be doing:

  • Leads and drives a customer-focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Design, lead and execute partnership business development plans to drive measurable results that aligns with the IWM strategic partnership objectives
  • Builds and maintains an extensive network of relationships with key partners in Retail, Corporate-Commercial, Offshore Wealth & with strategic external partners, generating bilateral referrals and driving a stable, growing, and profitable business line forward for shareholders.
  • Works closely with the Relationship Managers, Group Leads, District Managers, Wealth Advisors, Private Bankers and other partners across the bank to jointly review client lists to identify prospects and provide education and coaching on the Total Wealth Evolved proposition, SWM offerings and other Banking solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and Business leads to develop integrated partnership initiatives, including sales management tactics.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of partnerships, making data-driven recommendations for optimization. This includes proposing, tracking, and reporting KPIs/KRIs to Local and Head office measure the success of the partnerships model in an executive reporting dashboard format.
  • Create an environment of transparency and foster accountability with stakeholders to support successful project implementation
  • Monitoring processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies; establishing tools and resources to embed process improvements to achieve standards of excellence
  • Analyze key business priorities and bring insights to generate actions that create value aligned with strategic objectives
  • Lead sessions with Local stakeholders and subject matter experts to allow for the formulation of future state processes that resolve current challenges, optimize adjudication flows end to end, and support more robust data analytics
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates your team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating global vision/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Advise on or complete other related duties as assigned, including problem solving of complex issues
  • Acquiring ongoing market trend knowledge on potential external & internal partnership opportunities & details

Do you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:

  • Expert fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the banking and wealth management business
  • Proven experience in partnership development, with a focus on strategic planning, execution, business development, sales management and communication
  • Results orientated with proven teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Experience in contributing to large, complex, and diverse functions and projects
  • Strong project management skills and drive to execute strategies
  • Good understanding of the Bank’s structures, processes, resources, and delivery networks of financial products and services within the context of the Bank’s sales and service strategies across the various delivery channels
  • Solid understanding of the effect that change or new programs, products, systems, and regulatory requirements will have on existing operations and client offerings
  • Effective interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing skills within and outside the Bank utilizing the ability to analyze complex relationships, interdependencies, and situations and to act in a thorough and expeditious manner
  • Degree or postgraduate degree, preferably with a focus in business or similar
