The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Corporate Development to play a pivotal role in driving our M&A initiatives and supporting on transaction execution. Your Impact:

As a key contributor, you will:

  • Spearhead Strategic Acquisitions: Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic acquisitions, from initial target identification to successful deal closure.
  • Drive Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop sophisticated financial models to assess the viability and impact of potential acquisitions, ensuring optimal financial fit.
  • Lead Due Diligence Processes: Manage cross-functional due diligence teams, ensuring comprehensive and efficient evaluation of target companies.
  • Conduct Market & Competitive Intelligence: Perform in-depth market research and competitive assessments to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate on Strategic Planning: Partner with business teams to develop strategic plans and robust business cases that drive growth.

Your Expertise:

  • Advanced Financial Modeling & Valuation: Mastery of financial modeling and company valuation techniques, with a deep understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strategic Analysis & Market Insight: Proven ability to analyze complex market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional Communication & Presentation Skills: Ability to articulate complex financial and structural concepts clearly and concisely, both in writing and through presentations (PowerPoint & Excel proficiency is essential).
  • Project Management & Collaboration: Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive & Results-Oriented: A strong work ethic, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-Oriented & Problem-Solving: Exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to prioritize tasks and solve complex problems.

Your Background:

  • Approximately 8-10 years of progressive experience in Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, Corporate Development/M&A, Private Equity or Venture Capital, with a demonstrated track record of advancement & achievement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required).
  • CFA, CPA, CBV, or MBA designation (preferred).
  • Proven experience in M&A execution, including deal sourcing, due diligence, and integration planning; highly skilled in market research and data analysis, with a real passion for using analytics to drive informed decision making
  • Knowledge of the technology, electronics manufacturing, industrial manufacturing or supply chain industry (an asset).

This is an initial individual contributor role, offering significant opportunity to shape our corporate development function. Successful performance and demonstrated leadership will be considered for future people management responsibilities.
