The Senior Maintenance Scheduler prepares detailed schedules necessary to safely and efficiently execute planned maintenance work. They ensure that the resources required for a specific job are scheduled according to resource availability and operational requirements.
Major Responsibilities
Follow the scheduling philosophy and execute resource loading according to BTN-MAN procedures.
Lead the daily schedule update meetings (adding priority jobs and updating schedule changes) and the weekly backlog & schedule meetings.
Maintain the backlog independently and collaborate with Maintenance Coordinators, CMC, Planners, and Emergency Coordinators to schedule jobs in a timely manner.
Provide a base-loaded schedule and work lists for multiple future weeks.
Complete and distribute the preliminary schedule for the upcoming week according to BTN-MAN procedures.
Update and publish work schedules with minimal supervision.
Resolve over-allocation issues for nested contractors.
Monitor schedule compliance and initiate or coordinate corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with 12 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience.
Minimum 3 years planning/scheduling experience.
Eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience in scheduling across multiple crafts.
Knowledge of contractor management.
Proficiency with SAP - PM Maintenance Transactions and Prometheus.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Good organizational skills.
