Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Cook in Oshawa, Ontario to prepare and deliver meals for residents, guests and staff. You will review menus, ensure proper food handling, and prepare therapeutic diets while adhering to schedules and budgets.

The role requires a Food Handler's Certificate, and a Red Seal is preferred. Experience in large-scale food prep in healthcare or retirement settings is highly regarded, with a commitment to safety and quality.

Formación

• Must possess a Food Handler's Certificate.
• Red Seal Certificate preferred.
• Experience in large quantity food preparation, healthcare or retirement setting.
• Knowledge of Provincial Food Premises Regulation and Canada's Food Guide.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and/or be responsible for the preparation/delivery of all foods for residents, guests and employees.
• Review menus and production sheets; prepare and serve meals attractively.
• Ensure use of proper food handling techniques.
• Complete daily temperature audits for fridges, freezers and storerooms.
• Prepare and serve foods for therapeutic/specialty diets; record substitutions.
• Adhere to service schedules and production charts within budget.
