Canadian Natural is seeking a Corporate Liability Engineer/Coordinator in Calgary, AB. You will support liability closure programs including well abandonments, reclamation, and remediation while coordinating with Area Asset teams and regulators to inform planning and ensure a cost-effective, compliant closure framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in oil and gas.
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of provincial and federal liability management regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to develop advocacy positions and respond to information requests related to liability reduction and land stewardship.
• Represent Canadian Natural on industry and multi-stakeholder committees regarding abandonment, decommissioning, reclamation, liability reduction, and species-at-risk initiatives.
• Model and evaluate liability management scenarios using existing databases to reduce liability and footprint.
