Job summary

Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager – Liability Management to lead complex environmental programs across northeast British Columbia and Alberta.

You will manage project execution, mentor staff, and drive remediation, reclamation, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The role emphasizes strong client engagement, cost controls, and schedule management within the upstream oil and gas sector, with a hybrid work arrangement in Alberta.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in environmental science, biology, or related field.
• 8+ years of environmental experience including Stage/Phase 1 & 2, remediation and groundwater monitoring.
• Professional designation for sign-off in British Columbia; Alberta/Saskatchewan an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior/intermediate staff and manage project teams.
• Oversee client relationships, project performance, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality technical reporting across projects.
