Westland Insurance Group Ltd. in Calgary, AB is seeking a Senior Insurance Advisor to lead client relationships and educate clients on personal and commercial coverage.

This onsite role at the East Village office emphasizes mentorship, complex case handling, and active participation in community presence. You'll promote growth, provide tailored coverage recommendations, and support team development while delivering exceptional service to clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in insurance industry with Level 2 License.
• Progress toward CAIB and/or CIP designation with financial support.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to advise on complex client needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional client service across phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Assess client needs and provide tailored personal lines coverage recommendations.
• Manage new business, renewals, underwriting, and policy changes.
• Build lasting client relationships and support renewals and claims.
• Identify sales opportunities and cross-sell/up-sell products.
• Collaborate with team, mentor peers, and assist with training and reporting.

As a Senior Insurance Advisor, you promote and educate clients on a wide range of insurance products, take ownership of client relationships, and help us grow our presence and profile in the local community. You'll also serve as a senior resource within the branch, managing more complex insurance cases while supporting the development of team members

• Minimum 2+ years of insurance industry experience, supported by a Level 2 License and progress toward your CAIB and/or CIP designation (financial support provided!)

• Manage new business, renewals, underwriting, and policy changes while handling more complex insurance cases with accuracy and attention to detail
• Build lasting client relationships by providing proactive support throughout the customer journey, including renewals, claims assistance, and follow-up communication
• Contribute to business growth by identifying sales opportunities in addition to cross-selling and up-selling products
• Support branch success by collaborating with team members, mentoring peers, and assisting with training, reporting, and day-to-day operations as needed
