Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team in Canada. You will lead control systems engineering for water and wastewater facilities, focusing on PLC/SCADA/DCS deployments and detailed I&C design. This role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects across North America.

You will mentor junior staff, develop technical specifications, and ensure construction documentation meets project needs. A P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• 15 years of instrumentation and controls experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) registration or eligible within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead control systems engineering, PLC/SCADA/DCS design for water treatment projects.
• Develop P&ID drawings, network diagrams, and control system specifications.
• Coordinate I&C deliverables with process, mechanical, and electrical teams.
