Qualifications

• Masters or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with HVDC work interest.
• 12+ years in electrical engineering with 8+ years in HVDC study, design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Willing to travel up to 30% to support projects.
• Strong communication, leadership and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HVDC design activities from conceptual phase through hand-off to Operations.
• Provide technical HVDC design expertise to stakeholders including Operations Team.
• Prepare conceptual designs of HVDC systems including main circuit equipment, controls, protection and auxiliaries.
• Review vendor designs, studies, and factory/field test plans; oversee commissioning.
• Lead staff and Owner’s Engineer to meet schedules and budgets; ensure smooth integration with generation and utilities.
