Job summary

Stantec’s HVDC Center of Excellence is seeking a Senior HVDC Project Engineer to join a globally recognized team on HVDC and FACTS projects around the world. You will support our clients by performing front end engineering design activities, developing technical specifications, evaluating tenders, reviewing design submissions, witnessing factory tests and supporting commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• BSc in electrical engineering required.
• Minimum of 15 years of industry experience with at least 10 years HVDC/FACTS experience.
• Registered or eligible for professional registration in Canada or the US.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of HVDC/FACTS application and operation.
• Prepare technical specifications and tender documents for HVDC converters and FACTS devices.
• Witness factory tests and on-site commissioning, review design submissions and tenders.
• Participate in business development activities and industry committees.
