Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Calgary, Canada, seeks a Senior Substation Engineer to join a project team responsible for HV substation design and project management. You will contribute to conceptualization, planning and execution, and coordinate with engineers and designers to meet client needs.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with in‑office work 3 days per week and remote work 2 days; a generous relocation package may be available based on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree required.
• 5+ years in design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Experience tracking schedules and expenditures and providing status reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing drawings created by others.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, planning and execution of projects.
• Investigate and solve electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare client-facing technical and project reports.
• Share knowledge through Communities of Practice.
• Potential travel to client sites as needed.
