About the Opportunity
Heiltsuk Tribal Council has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team in the breathtaking and remote community of Bella Bella, British Columbia.
Reporting to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in managing all HR activities, ensuring compliance with Heiltsuk Tribal Council policies and fostering a positive, culturally sensitive work environment.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and strategic HR initiatives, while mentoring and leading a developing HR team.

About You
In order to qualify for this role, you must hold a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. You will also need 5-10+ years of human resources experience, including management and mentorship responsibilities, preferably in a nonprofit, First Nations, or mission-driven organization. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience in a First Nations or Indigenous community organization is an asset but not required. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and engage with the Heiltsuk Nation.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our human resources programs, ensuring they meet the needs of the Heiltsuk community whilst following HR best practices. We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic HR leader who values excellence and is committed to fostering a supportive and effective work environment.
About the Benefits
