On behalf of our client, an established consulting firm in the legal sector, we are recruiting for a Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Human Resources Manager will focus on customer service, taking a proactive approach to analyze current and future human resources needs. This position is ideal for an HR Professional with a passion for people, relationship building, and coaching!
Job Function:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting long-term learning and development of others through coaching, mentoring, and managing performance
- Providing guidance and engaging leaders on HR policies, practices, and programs in operational leadership practices
- Communicating and educating the value of goal setting and alignment with team members and the organization's strategic goals
- Assisting leaders in the effective application of compensation and recognition rewards programs
- Creating and supporting inclusion activities, promoting an inclusive and diverse workplace
- Guiding leaders on developing job evaluations and application of career tracks
- Developing a process for mandatory training and department-specific training
- Providing leaders with performance management support and guidance, as well as capability development activities/procedures
- Supporting leaders, providing advice and resources to ensure equity when managing performance improvement plans
- Conducting prompt and thorough investigations and developing solutions to team member issues and concerns, ensuring accurate and consistent application of policies, guiding principles, and procedures
- Facilitating the standard delivery of core HR cycles and maintaining a current and future knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures, and handling resolution of issues
- Providing support to the director with preparing department budget and variance reviews
Job Requirement:
What you bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
- Minimum of five to ten years of demonstrated HR experience, in an HR Advisor, Manager or Business Partner capacity
- CPHR Designation is considered an asset
- Ability to quickly build strong working relationships with business partners and colleagues
- Superior project management and implementation skills
- Well-developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong coaching and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed and up-to-date knowledge of applicable employment legislation and regulations
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft applications, working knowledge of learning management systems and HRIS software
