Avid is looking for an HR Business Partner to join its Business Partnering team for a 7-month contract opportunity. The role will be located remotely in either Canada (primary location) or Poland.

As an HRBP supporting our global Commercial and Customer teams, you will play a critical role in driving organizational transformation and performance. Acting as a strategic partner, you will align HR strategies with business objectives to enhance workforce effectiveness, leadership capabilities, and employee engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Partner with Commercial and Customer leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals.
  2. Support leaders in driving organizational change by implementing strategic, culture-focused, and process-driven solutions that enhance team effectiveness and business performance.
  3. Partner with managers and employees to proactively identify and address root causes of challenges, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  4. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a high-performing culture.
  5. Drive talent strategies, including workforce planning, career development, and succession planning.
  6. Act as a coach to leaders on team dynamics, performance, and engagement.
  7. Implement HR programs to enhance productivity, retention, and leadership development.
  8. Provide data-driven insights to influence decision-making and improve team performance.
  9. Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices across global teams.
  10. Consult with managers and employees to address root causes of HR issues and resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  1. HR Business partner experience, preferably supporting Commercial or Customer-facing teams.
  2. Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business strategy into impactful HR outcomes, driving organizational success.
  3. Proven track record in managing and executing global projects simultaneously, taking full ownership from start to finish with minimal guidance, and delivering results that align with business goals.
  4. Experience driving change, influencing leaders, and executing HR strategies.
  5. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and global HR practices.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a flexible approach.
