This is a full-time contract position (including benefits and vacation) starting at the end of May for 18 months.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a strategic partner, providing expert guidance on human resources matters, focusing on interpreting collective agreements and managing labour/union relations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather information, and present viable options, empowering decision-makers to own the process.
  • Navigate complex HR issues, offering solutions and mitigating risks while fostering a culture of openness and collaboration.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from frontline staff to senior executives, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance organizational culture, promoting honesty, fun, and inclusivity within the team and across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in progressive HR Generalist or HRBP roles, with a focus on interpreting collective agreements and managing labour/union relations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of operating at a strategic level, providing advisory support and facilitating decision-making processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
