Birla Carbon is seeking a Health and Safety & Environmental Manager to lead the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with standards and regulations.

The role requires collaboration across all levels, WSIB claims management, and ongoing safety training and program administration to drive performance and accountability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in health, safety and environmental management in manufacturing/oil & gas or petrochemical contexts is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains health, safety policies, systems, programs and procedures to ensure safe and healthy working conditions.
• Collaborates with all levels of employees to foster safety culture and compliance.
• Manages WSIB claims, return-to-work planning and improvement programs.
